The winner of American Idol's 11th season is embroiled in a dramatic legal battle! Phillip Phillips is being sued for a whopping $6 million by the production company, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The producers of the reality competition show, 19 Entertainment, have slammed the singer with a major lawsuit, claiming that he's been holding onto $1 million of their money. They say that he should pay them $5 million for breaching their agreement.

In January 2015, the singer tried to escape a management agreement with the company after he claimed that they manipulated him into accepting jobs that benefited 19 and its associates, rather than his career. Yikes!

Are you surprised he's getting sued for that much? Sound off in the comments below!
